Douglas Martin
CEO and Founder
Douglas is a biotech entrepreneur with a strong background in commercial and financial management. Recognised as a Forbes Under 30 honouree and a Shell Young Entrepreneur awardee he brings a unique blend of business acumen and innovative thinking.
Shreekanth Ramananthan
Technical Director
Shreekranth has led the technical team at MiAlgae from proof of concept, through to scale-up and production. He holds a PhD in bioprocessing and is responsible for all things technical at MiAlgae.
Chris Haacke
Commercial Director
Chris has over 25 years of experience in commercialisation of responsible aquaculture, with a background spanning Pan Fish, MSD Animal Health, Corbion and Agronutris.
Jerome Quiohilag
Associate Director Manufacturing
Jerome has over a decade of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and has successfully led high-performing teams across diverse manufacturing environments. He has directed operations to meet strategic business objectives whilst driving efficiency and process optimisation.
Julian Pietrzyk
Technical Consultant
Julian has been key to the development and scale-up of our fermentation platform and has co-developed the patented process to grow Omega-3 rich microalgae. He’s now focused on expanding the biotech platform for alternative products, and scaling fermentation to address the challenges of commercialisation.
Simon Durrant
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Simon has over 10 years of financial leadership experience in high-growth and sustainability-focused businesses. His background spans strategic consultancy, accountancy, and early-stage investment.
