Our fermentation platform

Our innovative fermentation platform generates a DHA rich algal product for use in aquaculture feed and pet food. 
The system recycles by-products from the whisky industry into clean water that can be returned to the watercourse.

MiAlgae’s technology is modular and is built to be decentralised and scalable. This allows us to scale quickly and build more sites near distilleries for ease of by-products collection.

Our process

Our process starts with nutrient-rich co-products from the whisky industry, which are used to feed our algae in specifically designed fermentation vessels.

The microalgae are then processed into commercial quantities 
of our marine Omega-3 product, from our scalable, proprietary technology at our facility in Scotland, UK. During the process, clean water 
is returned to the watercourse.

Omega-3 product undergoes rigorous testing to ensure the highest quality Omega-3 before being packaged and delivered to our customers as a vital ingredient in their feed products.
